Get Your Team Insurance

HOW DO I REGISTER MY TEAM?

  • Coaches need to complete a Background Check & Concussion training AND have set up a Coaches Account on Tourney Machine. (see side bar for links).
  • Every player & coach needs to submit a signed COVID19 Waiver, which is NOW completed online through your Tourney Machine account.
  • You can register your team for tournaments once you have your account set up in Tourney Machine.

ENTRY FEE:

  • The entry fee for all tournaments is listed on the schedule, and is due on Friday at noon, one week prior to the event.
  • You must pay online by clicking here if we haven’t received your check by that Friday, 8 days prior to the event.
  • The entry fee for the Youthfastpitch.com Summer Nationals is due 15 days before the tourney start.
    • Teams calling to enter a tournament after Monday at noon will probably have a good chance of getting in but are not guaranteed entry.  Many times other directors will cancel tournaments, or a tourney in one part of the state is rained out and we try to assist teams that call in last minute in fill-in situations.

Team Medical Insurance

Team medical insurance is not required but it is recommended.  Team medical insurance purchased from any national group will cover your team for all national affiliations when they play as a team. State law forbids the insurance companies from restricting coverage. NAFA offers a great insurance plan through Player’s Choice, it is the best in the industry and also one of the least expensive with 10U & 12U team insurance as low as $76 if bought through our league program on the Insurance Website below:   www.chappellinsurance.com.
NAFA ABUSE & MOLESTATION POLICY
North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) and the Players Choice Sports Association (PC) sanctions teams and provides rules for league and tournament play. NAFA & PC does not organize teams, select or approve coaches, players or volunteers for these teams. NAFA & PC strongly recommends that all parents of youth participants, as well as league officials, thoroughly check into the background and character of anyone (coaches, volunteers, or other individuals) that has contact with any minor participant or volunteer of their team or league.
ABUSE & MOLESTATION REPORTING & RESPONSE POLICY
NAFA & PC does not in any way allow or tolerate the abuse of children. If you know or suspect any child abuse (including sexual abuse or molestation's) you must report it immediately to NAFA or PC at (503) 559-5398. NAFA and PC will conduct an investigation, keeping the safety of the children as the first priority. Knowing of instances of abuse and not reporting them may be grounds for dismissal and may result in legal liability. NAFA and PC will then notify the proper authorities regarding the allegations. NAFA and PC has the right to immediately suspend the accused party from participation in any NAFA and PC activity pending the outcome of the investigation.
NAFA understands the passion and desire to get back on the fields, however, until there is a vaccine, cure, or treatment found for COVID-19, we strongly recommend that players, coaches and all spectators adhere to the guidelines and safety precautions presented, and recommends that anyone who is considered 'high-risk' stay home.  The information and guidelines are not meant to replace those given, at any time, by the CDC or other governing bodies, nor should they replace any professional medical advice, or opinions. NAFA does not assume any liability or responsibility for the recommendations herein. Further, NAFA does not assume any liability or responsibility for the health or safety, specifically in regards to the contraction of COVID-19 or any medical issues related to the contraction of COVID-19, by any player, coach, spectator or staff who choose to participate in a NAFA event. Members of the community who have been determined by the CDC, or their medical professional, to be ‘high-risk’ should continue to shelter in place and not participate in attending a NAFA event during this time.
